Platyraphe linitus (Godwin Austen, 1889)
Godwin-Austen (1889) original descriptions on Cyclotus linitus – “Shell globosely turbinate, rather openly umbilicated; sculpture the first two apical whorls show distinct liration, 14 on the whorl, it thence is suddenly smooth and transversely striated; spire conic apex papillate; suture deep; whorls 4, very rounded; aperture circular, subvertical; peristome simple, not thickened. Operculum shelly in front, multispiral. There are a large number of specimens in the collection, all covered with a black substance completely concealing the form of the shell; a state so often seen in certain species of Alycaeus, and as I have observed in those that have a burrowing habit. In this Cyclotus the shells are more completely coated than usual. The drawing is from one cleaned after a soaking in warm water.”
Kobelt (1902) descriptions on Platyhaphe linita – “Schale ziemlich offen genabelt, kugelig kreiseiförmig, die oberen Windungen ungefähr mit je 14 Rippen, dann glatt, gestreift, meist mit einer Schlammkruste bedeckt; Apex zitzenförmig. Naht tief; 4 sehr gewölbte Windungen; Mündung fast senkrecht, kreisrund; Mundrand einfach, nicht verdickt.”
Cyclotus linitus - “Size: maj. diam. 7.25; alt. axis 3.5 millim.” (Godwin-Austen, 1889); Platyhaphe linita – “H. 3.5, Durchm. 7.25 mm.” (Kobelt, 1902)
Type locality – “Busan Hills” leg. A. Everett (Godwin-Austen, 1889)
