Ganesella subflava (Godwin-Austen, 1891)
“This is the first species of this genus found in Borneo, The type species is from Ternate, and the genus ranges through New Guinea to the Solomon Islands, where it appears to be abundant; whether the animal is the same throughout this extended distribution is yet to be found out.” (Godwin-Austen, 1891)
Godwin-Austen (1891) original descriptions on Helix (Geotrochus) subflava – “Shell pyramidal, keeled, rather flat on the base, narrowly perforate; sculpture, rough papillate dottings arranged transversely; colour ochre; spire tigh, sides flat; apex very blunt; suture linear; whorls 6, sides flatly convex; aperture quadrate; peristome very thin; columellar margin much reflected, perpendicular.”
Shell height – 6.5 mm; Shell width – 7 mm.
