Everettia consul (Pfeiffer, 1854)
“The large specimen figured by Pfeiffer I regard as the adult form, and not as a variety. With the exception of having completed an additional half-whorl, and thus added considerably to its size, I can discover no difference between it and the type shell.” (E. A. Smith, 1895)
Pfeiffer (1854) original descriptions on Helix consul – “H. testa subclause perforate, depressa, tenui, levissime striatula et sub lente striis confertis spiralibus sculpta, lucida, fusco-cornea; spira brevissime conoideo-elevata; sutura marginata; anfract. 6 convexiusculis, regulariter accrescentibus, ultimo non escendente, rotundato, basi medio subexcavato; aperture subverticali, rotundato-lunari; perist. simplice, recto, marginibus vix convergentibus, dextro perarcuato, columellari declivi, superne anguste reflexo.”
Tryon (1886) descriptions on Nanina (Macrochlamys) consul – “Scarcely perforate, lightty striulate and with numerous unequal spiral lines, somewhat shining; reddish corneous, suture dark margined; whorls 6½.”
